Visit Yadkin Extension Staff at the Harvest Festival

— Written By Pam Jones

Saturday Sept. 16th from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. will mark the 41st Annual Harvest Festival in downtown Yadkinville. Yadkin Cooperative Extension will be heavily involved and we invite you to come see us for youth activities and county beautification information. Youth, ages 12 and under, will make dish gardens to take home. While constructing their dish garden, they will learn about what is required to keep plants alive and thriving.

Many of the the Yadkin Farmers Market vendors plus a couple of new vendors will be set up at the festival instead of the usual market location. Come by for fresh fruits and vegetables as well as handmade craft items, jellies, and juices.

The Yadkin Beautification Committee will host a booth with information on how we all can play a part in keeping Yadkin County beautiful and litter-free.

The Harvest Festival location is 209 Elm Street near the Arts Council building, downtown Yadkinville. In addition to Cooperative Extension’s offerings, there will be food vendors and free music. Join us for a fun-filled, affordable family time.
