If you have old pesticides that are taking up space in your barn, garage or storage shed, make plans to bring them to the FREE Pesticide Disposal Day in Davie County. N.C. Cooperative Extension in conjunction with the NC Department of Agriculture will accept any pesticide (insecticide, fungicide, herbicide, etc.) in original containers and clearly labeled. This program is available for Yadkin and surrounding counties.

There is no charge for this service and most pesticide products will be accepted, including banned and outdated pesticides. For pesticides with unreadable or missing labels, contact the Cooperative Extension office at (336) 753-6100 for instructions. Participants are asked to save any portion of the label to help identify the material to be disposed of. Unknown materials cannot be accepted. Paints and other hazardous waste will not be accepted.

This non-regulatory and cost-free collection will be Wednesday, May 1, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., at the Davie County Center (642 Wilkesboro St., Mocksville, NC 27028). Call the N.C.
