The holiday season is upon us and so is the deadline to submit your 4-H Project Record Books and 4-H Portfolios! The deadline this year is January 21st, 2022 and you do not want to miss out on the great benefits of completing one of these projects!

Did you know this is a great way to show off what you have learned this year in 4-H? I want to challenge all our 4-H’ers to consider completing a 4-H Project Record Book this year. Not only because you will receive a certificate, Clover Cash, a ribbon, a small prize, and if you are 8 and up you have a chance to go to District with the possibility of to winning $50 in cash, but also because it shows your growth in the 4-H program throughout the year and years if you complete one or more of these books a year. The topics you can complete a 4-H Project Record Book are endless. Did you do a lot of cooking with 4-H this year? You can do a record book on that! Did you show a lamb and worked with it this year? That is another great topic for a record book! Did you learn a lot about bees, leadership, community service, or something else? Those and more are great topics for a 4-H Project Record Book. You are also not limited to one 4-H Project Record Book, you can do as many as you want! The same concept applies to 4-H Portfolios, except, they consist of information over a three year time period instead of one like 4-H Project Record Books. Each will receive Clover Cash. Here are some helpful documents to get you started: NC 4-H Project Record Books and 4-H Portfolios  The rules, forms, score sheets, and categories are included in this post.
