Yadkin County 4-H Achievement Night 2025
Finding your Spark through 4-H

County Council

4-H Achievement Night is a 4-H event for our 4-H’ers to be recognized for their achievements throughout the year. This year’s theme was “Finding your Spark through 4-H.” This theme was chosen for our Achievement Night because it represents our program so well. Through 4-H, youth are able to find and kindle their sparks through the many activities we offer. That could be through animals, photography, leadership, art, and so much more. Those sparks and more are what we recognized on this night.

4-H'er speaking

This night was led by Yadkin County 4-H Teen Council. Emmalyn Rogers presented the Pledge of Allegiance, Maylee Hudspeth gave the 4-H Pledge, and Leah Frick gave the thought of the night. Then we proceeded to our keynote speaker, Nathan Croyle, North Carolina State 4-H Council Present. Nathan shared about his humble beginnings in 4-H and encouraged our 4-H’ers to reach for big things in 4-H and beyond. After this portion of the meeting, the attendees got to partake in a dinner sponsored by Tank’s Plumbing LLC.

The next portion of our event consisted of our Talent Show where Bailey Poindexter was the emcee. We had five talent acts at this event that ranged from singing, to dancing, to playing instruments. First we had Gabriella Rogers singing “Only Hope” by Mandy Moore. Next we had Emmalyn Rogers perform a beautiful song on the mandolin. After this act we had Henley Poindexter singing Leanna Crawford’s song, “The Truth I’m Standing On.” Next we had Addi Kelly performing a lyrical dance routine to “Down to the River to Pray” by Alison Krauss. Lastly, Kyplee Kelly performed a breakdancing routine to the song, “Bad Wolf.” All acts were amazing and were enjoyed by our audience. Two were selected to go over to the district level. Emmalyn Rogers received first place and Gabriella Rogers with second place.
